Russ Buxton

My dad was a developer in Cary, and when we moved here there was very little in the way of a big city.  No hospital, major shopping centers, even paved roads for parts of the town.  But my dad had a vision, and it came to be Lochmere.  I was a kid growing up seeing the town of Cary grow too.

I was born in Rocky Mount, but consider myself to be from Cary since I have been here 51 years.

I have worked in 3 main areas, restaurants, retail, and sales.  I enjoy meeting people and helping them finish their projects.  And I enjoy home improvement projects.  I recently updated my home and thoroughly enjoyed the process.

I also enjoy golf on my days off.  It truly is a game that you can never win, only play.  Hopefully I will play until my last day on earth.

My other love is for my family.  My sister also lives in Cary, and we are very close.  I have several four legged babies, three dogs and one cat.  They provide me with endless love and amusement.

I decided to get into real estate because it combines a lot of my passions and skills.  I love home design, and how it can help people do what they want to do.  I also love meeting new people.  And I have a long background in the hospitality field, including sales.  This seems to be a combination of all of my skills as well as my hobbies (other than golf).

Living in Cary since I was only six, I can’t imagine living in another area.  I hope that I get to meet people, help them find their perfect match for a home, and make some friends along the way.
